Yet, they tend to offer only their own internal product line; causing them to be not as competitive.
Mortgage Brokers offer a variety of different lenders pricing and products, allowing them to be more competitive in rate and products. Yet, they do not control the appraisal, underwriting, closing or funding of your loan, as those functions are all outsourced to their lending source. In that respect, they serve as a middleman or broker, without internal control of the many important aspects of the lending process.
